Sunny Hobbies' History
Our beginnings...
Sunny Hobbies sprouted from a fervent passion project in late 2018/early 2019 with the ambitious goal of being the first to assemble a complete set of every Yugioh Ghost Rare in 1st edition, all graded BGS 9.5. As of today, this endeavor remains an ongoing pursuit, with only two elusive pieces left to complete the captivating puzzle.

Our first store...
The collection eventually grew bigger to include more cards, including those from Pokemon and Magic the Gathering. In January 2022, our first storefront emerged, a modest space without tables but rich in community spirit. Despite its size, it became a hub for enthusiasts to connect, share stories, and celebrate the diverse world of trading cards. Sunny Hobbies transformed from my personal passion project into a community-driven space, uniting collectors under one roof.

Our first major partnership...
In late 2022 we moved to our current location at 3300 Midland Ave. We also scored our first major partnership with Beckett Grading Services!

I started playing in early 2019 and really enjoyed the balance of simplicity and depth the game offered. I’ve always been a competitive person growing up and I think that’s helped me improve at the game very quickly.
Currently chasing a Worlds invite (say hi if you see me at a regionals!). I love helping new players learn and improve so feel free to talk to me about gameplay/deckbuilding or just anything Pokemon related in general!
